Today Gilles Peterson announced that Worldwide FM, the radio station he founded six years ago, will be on pause from the end of October. On Facebook, WWFM wrote: "We are having to make certain changes at Worldwide FM re-organising and re-evaluating the next phase and financing for the station." 150 hosts from around the globe presented regular shows, and WWFM established itself as a musical hub for eclectic and soulful music. In his post on social media Peterson also wrote: "WWFM’s website and archive will remain active and I will continue to host shows. Stay tuned and watch out for a big event before the end of the year."
